In 2003 trad Evanescence op tijdens Pinkpop. We spraken met Amy Lee over het instant-succes van de band, en we hadden het over de single 'Bring Me To Life'.

"Someone just said something to me once and I blew it way out of proportion for the song but I was going through a very hard time in my life and I was totally in denial and I met someone that day and he asked me "are you happy?" It shocked me and made me reevaluate everything that was going on and that's basically what the song is about; finding something that you want to live for."
