We hadden een goed gesprek met Ryan Adams in 2001 na de release van zijn CD "Gold". In het interview heeft Ryan het over Anne Frank en Sylvia Plath, over digitale en analoge opnames en de Stones en de Beatles:
"I think the Rolling Stones were more interested in rhythm and blues and rock and roll. The Beatles were functioning more as a band being magical, interesting and beautiful. One's not better than the other. It's two colors in a rainbow. You can't say orange is beter than red. Dammit, they're both beautiful!"
